Aradana Broadcasting International Private Limited (ARADANA) is based at Greater Hyderabad city, in the South Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.
The genesis of ARADANA began on 7th August 2008. ARADANA was established to launch a Satellite Television Channel in the field of Infotainment covering subjects like Education, Health, Culture, Spiritual Enrichment, Social Upliftment and other related subjects; the sole purpose being to enlighten and create awareness among the Telugu speaking people in Andhra Pradesh and all Telugus spread across the globe.
ARADANA received License/Permission from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, on 6th April 2009 to Uplink and Downlink ARADANA channel in Telugu, Hindi and English languages. The channel is being uplinked from India through the teleport of M/s.Tata Communications Ltd., using INSAT 4B, a Satellite owned by the Government of India.
‘ARADANA’, means Worship or Devotion in almost all recognized languages in India. The first channel under the banner of Aradana is in Telugu language.
The total Telugu speaking population in the State of Andhra Pradesh is close to 90 million and ARADANA hopes to reach at least 10% of this population within the first quarter itself. The population with Christian leanings amongst Telugu speaking people is close to 10 million, though the official figures will be far lower.
Apart from broadcasting via satellite, we are also broadcasting the Channel content through Internet/IPTV, where Telugu viewers from all over the world will be able to log on to our channel and view all the
programs.
Though most of the channel content is in Telugu, programs in English are also telecasted, as over 50% of Telugu viewers understand English. Therefore, all are welcome to use this platform to broadcast their programs that are of interest to Indian viewers.
The Prime objective of Aradana Channel is to inculcate the spirit of Love for Humanity,
Faith in God, Spiritual Enlightenment, Peace of Mind and Patriotism.
Aradana began with a dream. A dream to reach all the unreached with valuable information. A dream to uplift socially and economically backward people. A dream to enlighten the people in darkness. A dream to provide a communication link to remote villages.
Therefore, the Vision statement:
To build a Communication Network to bridge the gap between different people groups and empower them with valuable information on Education, Devotion, Health and Human Values.
